On December 7, 2023, the groundbreaking ceremony for the pharmaceutical production facility of "Gen Pharma Caucasus Manufacturing Operations" LLC took place in Pirallahi Industrial Park.

Mikayil Jabbarov, Minister of Economy; Cahit Bagci, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Azerbaijan; Abidin Gulmush, Chairman of the Board of Directors and owner of Gen Pharma Caucasus Company; Ulvi Mansurov, Executive Director of "Azerbaijan Investment Company" OJSC; and co-founders of "SIA Pharmaceuticals" LLC, along with heads of relevant state institutions attended the ceremony in Pirallahi Industrial Park.

On July 31, 2023, "Azerbaijan Investment Company" JSC, Turkey's "GEN İlaç ve Sağlık Ürünleri Sanayi ve Ticaret Anonim Company," and "SIA Pharmaceutical" LLC signed a Partnership and Joint Participation Agreement for the establishment of a pharmaceutical plant in Pirallahi Industrial Park. Today, the foundation of the drug production plant is being laid on the 7.8-hectare territory of the Park, as outlined in the agreement.

Leveraging Turkey's advanced technologies, the enterprise will produce pharmaceutical products under 42 different names in various dosages and packaging. The investment cost of the plant is 59.3 million manats, and the enterprise is expected to permanently employ 165 people. Once operational, the plant aims to meet the demand for several pharmaceutical products in the country through local production, reducing dependence on imports. Additionally, the plan includes selling the products produced in the factory, with an annual production capacity of 50 million boxes, and exporting them to the countries of the region under the "Made in Azerbaijan" brand.
